The Miracle Works Educational Complex is a registered educational foundation which works with children and parents from Senya Beraku and the surrounding villages. Our aim is to support the children so that they are able to attend school and gain quality education. We also aim to improve educational opportunities and health for disadvantaged children in the Senya community through projects which rely on the support of volunteers from all over the world.
Our programs are designed and committed to enable people all over the world immerse themselves in new culture, make real difference, create impact, learn new things, network with likeminded people while they visit great historical sites in Ghana, West Africa. We create avenues and programs that enable disadvantaged children and the youth have equitable opportunities to pursue higher education. MWEC works with both international and local volunteers and experts to provide lasting solutions to challenges facing deprived communities of Ghana through volunteerism.
24/7 Support: Volunteers will have the support of our entire team. Since everyone at Miracle Works started out as a volunteer, we understand the physical and mental challenges you will face and we will be there to guide you through them.
Safety first: While volunteering for us in Ghana, your safety will be our outmost priority. Upon arrival to Ghana, Our staff will give you a safety briefing. During the briefing, we will create a customized personal safety plan that everyone feels comfortable with.
Responsible management: Our team works hard to insure that our projects are run efficiently and ethically. Neither any of our staff get paid for the work they do at Miracle Works. We value your time and potential contributions.
New friendship: Everyone at Miracle Works will be eager to create friendships. Becoming a role model for our kids is an experience unlike any other.
Tour of Ghana: Miracle Works offers all volunteers a three days tour of different regions in Ghana. On the tour, volunteers will get the opportunity to play with monkeys, pet a crocodile, hike to the highest waterfall in Western Africa, experience the jungle walkway at Kakum National Park, explore a botanical garden and tour the castles at Cape Coast and Elimina. The tour cost around $100 - $150 a day which is paid by the volunteer.
Housing and meals: Miracle Works offers housing for all our volunteers. Our housing options all have western toilet and bed. Although they don’t have running water, we provide large containers full of water and bottled water for drinking. In addition to the housing, we offer a meal plan consisting of three meals a day. Anything else you need can be bought at the Supermarkets which always available in towns and the cities and offers grocery stores, a pharmacy and restaurants.
Additional: Orientation, Program Supervision, Airport pickup and drop off, Visa support letter, 24/7 in-country support and In-country administrative costs.
Whats Not Included: Flights, Visa, Travel insurance, Vaccination, Souvenirs, In-country trips or tours and spending money, construction materials/supplies, internet or laundry.
